In September 2022 two of our employees Urszula Smyczyńska and Szymon Grabia co-organized NGSchool 2022: Machine Learning in Computational Biology (https://ngschool.eu/ngschool2022/), a summer school dedicated to sharing knowledge of various uses of machine learning in bioinformatics and related fields. The event took place in the picturesque Jabłonna Palace near Warsaw, Poland and lasted for 8 days, during which numerous lectures and workshops were provided by expert invited speakers from all around the world. The school also included hands-on hackathons and provided a much awaited opportunity for young researchers and students to network in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

As a satellite event to the school, a scientific conference called NGSymposium in Computational Biology (https://ngschool.eu/ngsymposium2022/) took place. During presentation panels and poster sessions both early-stage and senior researchers had the opportunity to share their studies and results, as well as discuss and socialize.
