We are pleased to announce that Zuzanna Nowicka, M.D., a doctoral student from our Department, has taken first place in the “Doctoral Category” of the 2023 Women in STEM – Poland Short Essay Contest. The contest was organized by the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Program Stipendists for the 2022-2023 cohort.

The aim of the contest was to continue the celebration of Women’s History Month throughout Poland by highlighting the achievements of women in STEM fields. Students from high schools, universities, and doctoral programs were eligible to participate.
