We are happy to inform about our team member, Dr. Bartłomiej Tomasik, tremendous achievement – the co-discovery of a new DNA repair mechanism. Dr. Bartłomiej Tomasik is a co-author of the article that describes the newly discovered mechanism for repairing double-strand DNA breaks. The work has been published in the prestigious journal ‘Nature Structural & Molecular Biology,’ where the DNA repair mechanism involving the protein complex Shielding regulated by DYNLL1 and MRE11 is elucidated.
