We are pleased to announce that our 3rd year medical students, Julia Piotrowska and Barbara Pernak, have received funding for their research projects as part of the 11th edition of the Medical University of Łódź grant competition “UMED Grants”.
Julia Piotrowska – project title: “Validation of Proteomic Signatures as Predictors of Infectious Complications in Multiple Myeloma”
The project aims to validate proteomic signatures as predictive biomarkers of infectious complications in patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma. This innovative approach may support early identification of high-risk patients and contribute to improved clinical outcomes.
Barbara Pernak – project title: “Effect of intestinal villi atrophy on cholesin secretion and lipid profile in children with coeliac disease”
This study focuses on assessing the impact of intestinal villi atrophy on cholesin secretion and its correlation with lipid metabolism in children with coeliac disease. The primary objective is to explore the metabolic pathways regulated by cholesin, using coeliac disease as a clinical model.
We congratulate both students and wish them further success in their research projects.
