This distinction is particularly meaningful, as it marks the first time this type of award has been granted to a researcher from Łódź, following previous editions that were awarded to other leading centers in Poland.

Dr Mikulski’s project focuses on identifying novel exosomal biomarkers for predicting early relapse of multiple myeloma following autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

The official announcement of the results took place on October 24, 2025, during the 32nd Congress of the Polish Society of Hematologists and Transfusiologists (PTHiT) in Gdańsk.
