We are pleased to announce that members of our team have received the Rector’s Awards:

• Prof. Wojciech Fendler and Zuzanna Nowicka-Kaszkowiak MD received a Scientific Award for outstanding achievements in international scientific collaboration for the publication 53BP1 loss elicits cGAS–STING-dependent antitumor immunity in ovarian and pancreatic cancer in Nature Communications.
• Prof. Wojciech Fendler, Urszula Smyczyńska PhD, Konrad Stawiski PhD MD, Damian Mikulski PhD MD, and Ewelina Perdas PhD, together with collaborators from other institutions, received a first-degree Scientific Achievement Award for a series of publications on the role of epigenetic biomarkers as diagnostic and predictive tools in cancer.
• Assoc. Prof. Agnieszka Butwicka, together with collaborators from other institutions, received a first-degree Scientific Achievement Award for a series of publications on psychiatric comorbidity and treatment in somatic diseases.
• Konrad Stawiski PhD MD received a first-degree Scientific Achievement Award as a co-author of a series of studies investigating the relationships between the tumor microenvironment, FGFR signaling, and the biology and clinicopathological features of breast cancer.
• Prof. Wojciech Fendler and Zuzanna Nowicka-Kaszkowiak MD received a first-degree Scientific Achievement Award as co-authors of the publication Genetic hallmarks and clinical implications of chromothripsis in childhood T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
• Jacek Burzyński MD received a second-degree Scientific Achievement Award as a co-author of a series of studies titled The effectiveness of probiotic therapy in patients with depressive disorders.
• Jacek Burzyński MD also received a third-degree Scientific Achievement Award as a co-author of the publication The Interplay Between Depression, Probiotics, Diet, Immunometabolic Health, the Gut, and the Liver – A Secondary Analysis of the Pro-Demet Randomized Clinical Trial.
• Antoni Blachnicki Eng. received an award for technical and administrative staff members.
