Katarzyna Płoszka

Katarzyna Płoszka, M.Sc., PhD student, research and teaching assistant, teaching coordinator Graduate of the first cycle (2019) and second cycle (2021) in Medical Biotechnology at the Faculty of Medicine, Division of Biomedical Sciences, Medical University of Lodz. She completed the postgraduate program "Elements of Empirical Research Methodology in Medicine and Application of Statistics in Biomedical Research" in 2022 and has also been a lecturer in postgraduate programs since 2024. Former member of IAESTE UMed, where she served as the Coordinator of the 2020 Fall Recruitment Campaign and the National PR Coordinator of the 2021 Spring Recruitment Campaign. Additionally, she is a former member of the "OgOn" General and Oncological Pathology Student Research Group.

In the Department, she is responsible for coordinating teaching and student training. Additionally, she performs statistical analyses, primarily in the field of oncology, and provides support in the design and implementation of clinical trials. She is a biostatistician in the MAGIC-AML and COMBO-UC clinical trials, a recipient of scholarship in an NCN OPUS-25 grant from 2024, and the Director of PRELUDIUM 24.

She is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Molecular Medicine (SMM) and the Second Vice-Chair for SMM on the Doctoral Student Government Council. She is a member of the Education Quality Committee, a member of the Strategy Committee at the Medical University of Lodz, a member of the Health Sciences Council, a member of the Faculty Quality Assurance Team at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, and a participant in the TopMinds 2025 program.

Since December 2025, she has served as Secretary of the Polish Association of Medical Biotechnologists and a member of the Founding Board.

Her research interests include molecular biology, oncology, and hematology. She is a fan of survival horror, adventure, and hack-and-slash games, as well as a lover of mountain climbing and home gardening.
