Whole team participated in the Polish Scientific Networks Conference in Poznań city. This edition entitled Science and Technology was devoted to modern technology and innovations in various aspects, ranging from social to natural sciences.
Our chief Dr. Wojciech Fendler together with Prof. Dipanjan Chowdhury, our friend from Dana Farber Cancer Institute, gave a lecture on MicroRNA-based diagnostic tests.
Our PhD student, Beata Małachowska delivered a presentation entitled “Computational biology predicts new K-Ras inhibitor intracellular mechanism of action”.
She also took part in an oxford debate: “Electric vehicles – bright future or hopeless wish?” and a discussion panel: “Mentoring – navigation through the academic labyrinths”.
Our computer scientists, Piotr Łuczak and Szymon Grabia, gave presentations on “Optimisation of Weight Agnostic Neural Network structure using Rosenbrock method” and “GPU-accelerated identification of reference genes”.
Our students, Zuzanna Nowicka and Jędrzej Chrzanowski presented scientific posters prepared by all students from our department.
Jędrzej Chrzanowski also gave a flash talk on “Seasonal patterns of glycemic variability identified with continuous glucose monitoring in pediatric type 1 diabetes”.
