We are proud to announce that two PhD candidates and physicians affiliated with the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine received special recognition during the Annual Reporting Session of the International Doctoral School.

Among those recognized was Dr. Jędrzej Chrzanowski, whose research focuses on dynamic epigenetic changes associated with achieving glycemic control in type 1 diabetes. His doctoral project is being conducted under the supervision of Professor Wojciech Fendler.

Special recognition was also awarded to Dr. Aleksander Rycerz, whose doctoral research concerns the molecular basis of endometriosis and the search for new therapeutic approaches to this disease. His dissertation is supervised by Professor Jacek Wilczyński from the Department of Operative and Oncological Gynecology, with Dr. Monika Golińska from the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine serving as co-supervisor.

This recognition reflects the high quality of the research conducted, the dedication of the PhD candidates, and the scientific merit of the results presented. The success of our young researchers highlights the importance of translational research at the interface of basic science and clinical medicine and confirms the outstanding potential of early-career scientists from the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine.
